I’m so excited to kick off my fall sessions with this lovely group! Mike and Melanie wanted a few pictures with all of their grandkids, so we met at Municipal Park to snap a few photos. It’s always so much fun to work with a group of kids… and it was SO CUTE because the youngest asked to see the pictures I took after each pose, and he’d say, “that’s so beautiful!” to every one of them. It was adorable, and it totally made my day!
If you’ve ever watched the movie White Christmas (and if you haven’t, you must!), you’re probably familiar with the song “Sisters.” You know… “sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters…” and so on. My family has watched that movie together on Christmas Eve almost every year, and so it’s not unusual for my two sisters, Jennifer and Stephanie, and I to start jokingly singing that song when we talk about how much we love being siblings and the closest of friends.
So you understand what I mean when I say that this wedding holds a very special place in my heart! When Stephanie and Zackery started dating, I could see that these two were meant to be. They have the same quirky sense of humor, love to write stories together, and compliment one another perfectly. I am so happy to see how God brought them together!
And this wedding? Wow. So beautiful!!! It was a dream to be able to capture every detail. And the location? Amazing. Seriously! The entire wedding was held at Fourth Street Gardens in Emmett and it was a gorgeous venue!
I loved every image from this wedding, but I managed to narrow this post down to just my absolute favorites from the day. Enjoy!
Stephanie’s bouquet was from Heavenessence, and they did a fabulous job!
This wedding was a little crazy for me, since I was a bridesmaid as well as the photographer! So I’d just like to thank my awesome second shooter, Annie Mintz, for all of her help!
Stephanie and Zackery… your wedding was amazing! And I just love you guys so much! Hugs and kisses, and a BIG congratulations. I am so happy for you both. Lalu!
I know I’ve confessed my love of Cake Smash Sessions before. But seriously. Is there anything cuter than a baby covered in cake???
This little cutie turned one last week, and I got to capture his first cake eating experience. He took a little while to really get into it, but once he did, he made a glorious mess!
Happy Birthday buddy!
They met in high school, each on opposing sides of a debate team. When they graduated, Jon stayed in Cleveland, while Emily traveled out to go to college in California. It wasn’t until Emily graduated from college and moved back to Cleveland that the two of them met for a second time at a church group. They were friends for several months, until they suddenly realized that they had feelings for each other… and so began a whirlwind romance. They went from dating to engaged in a matter of months (Jon’s detailed proposal with candles and letters in an old library is enough to make anyone say “awwwww!”), and they tied the knot just one week ago!
Jon and Emily were married in the Lake Erie Building, an old-factory-turned-event-venue that was AWESOME! These two put some amazing work into the details of this wedding, including the building of the stage and backdrop for the ceremony! I loved being a part of their special day, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images of the day.
Emily started off the day with breakfast with all of her bridesmaids at Jon’s grandparents’ house. Then while her bridesmaids got ready, she went over to a local salon to get her hair and makeup done.
After the salon, Emily went back to the house to put on her amazing dress.
For their first look, Jon and Emily met at Lakeview Cemetary. While that may seem unusual at first glance, this place is a huge part of Cleveland’s history, with sites going back 300 years! Lake View is also gorgeous, with giant trees everywhere and a spectacular view of the city and Lake Erie. It also happens to be the spot where Jon and Emily shared their first kiss!
After the First Look, we met up with the bridal party at the Cleveland Museum of Art. This place was also incredible!
Remember that awesome building I told you about? Here it is! Amazing right???
Jon and Emily, congratulations! You two are so wonderful, and I am so glad I was able to capture your perfect wedding day!
I recently had the opportunity to take some team pictures for the Meridian Wahines Softball Team. To be honest, I was a little nervous about doing this shoot, since team photos weren’t something I had ever done before. But I believe that getting out of my comfort zone and learning something new is a good thing!
This group of girls was so much fun! There was a lot of laughter and silliness in between shots, but man, can these girls strike a pose! Here are a few of my favorites. Go Wahines!!
